Briarwood Mall Job Fair

Sensing the need for an increased workforce at many of their tenant stores, Briarwood Mall will be hosting a job fair on Monday, October 15, for more than 25 stores hiring almost 350 positions, including permanent full-time and management positions. The job fair will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Macy’s wing of the mall. No pre-registration is necessary, but job seekers are encouraged to submit their resumes and applications ahead of time in order to focus on personal interaction during the fair. Remember to dress for success!

A2Y Chamber of Commerce and WWBA Job Fair

The Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Regional Chamber and West Washtenaw Business Association are sponsoring a job fair on October 17, 2012. The job fair will take place at Washtenaw Community College in the Morris J. Lawrence Building between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. This job fair is an effort by the WWBA and A2Y Chamber to stimulate the economy in Southeastern Michigan, make local employers successful and get the unemployed and under-employed back to work. A few of the participating companies include Northwestern Mutual, Select Ride, Michigan Ladder, Macy's, Michigan Office Solutions, and Zingerman's. Job seekers are advised to come ready to meet with potential employers and should bring multiple copies of their resume.

Join Ann Arbor SCORE on September 20th from 6 to 8 pm at Cleary University Washtenaw Campus for the workshop Business Structure and Legal Issues. This workshop will provide information about legal entities, tax and liability issues, elements of a contract, leasing and insurance. The workshop is free to attend, but registration is required. The Hilton Garden Inn Ann Arbor is opening in early October and is holding a job fair on Thursday, August 23 and Friday, August 24 from 9am to 6pm at their temporary office at 3131 S. State Street, Suite 307. There are many positions available, and interviews will take place on-site. Employment start dates for most positions will be in late August to mid-September. Hospitality Staffing Job Fair

Washtenaw Michigan Works! is hosting a job fair for LGC Hospitality Staffing on Tuesday, July 17 from 1-4pm. LGC is hiring for all part-time hospitality positions including: servers, bartenders, cooks, dishwashers, bussers, and housekeepers. Cooks, bartenders, dishwashers, and bussers must have some experience. Other positions will have training available. The jobs will be in the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti area. When you attend the event, bring 2 forms of ID- one picture ID that is not expired, and something that verifies that you can work in the US (such as a social security card or birth certificate). On site interviews will take place, so be sure to bring your resume, and dress to impress!
